Now it’s getting exciting: your plants have completed the vegetative phase and it’s time for the next big step – the flowering phase. This is when the buds you’ve been working towards all this time start to form. But before you send your plant into “flowering paradise”, there are a few things you need to bear in mind.
⏳ The right time
- Let your plants grow for at least 3 weeks before switching to the flowering phase.
- Pay attention to the height:
- Rule of thumb: send the plant into flower at the latest when it has reached about half its final size.
- Example: If you want your plant to grow to a height of 2 m, switch to flowering at a height of 1 m at the latest.
- Why? In the first two weeks of the flowering phase , the plants stretch vigorously once again.
💡 The crucial switch: light
The flowering phase is initiated by a change in the light cycle.
- Set your timer from 18/6 to 12 hours light / 12 hours dark.
- Set the flowering mode in the growMACHINE
- Important: The dark phase must be really dark – no rays of light may disturb the tent.
👉 Your lamp now runs consistently at the highest level to give the flowers full power.
🌡️ Climate in the flowering phase
To ensure that your flowers are not only large, but also aromatic and potent, you need to keep the temperature and humidity under control.
- Temperature:
- Optimal: 22-26 °C.
- Caution: Above 26 °C in the late flowering phase = terpenes evaporate = less flavor!
- Humidity:
- Optimal: 50-65 %.
- Too damp = risk of mold.
- Too dry = stressed plants.
👉 Regular checks with a hygrometer and thermometer are mandatory.
The growMACHINE regulates temperature and humidity automatically.
📋 Climate parameters at a glance
- 🌡️ Temperature: 22-26 °C
- 💧 Air humidity: 50-65 %
- Lamp: full power
- ⏱️ Timer: 12h light / 12h dark
🧾 Brief summary
Initiate the flowering phase as soon as your plants have reached about half their final size. Set the lamp to full power, the light cycle to 12/12, keep the temperature between 22-26 °C and the humidity at 50-65 %.
